인용 가이드라인과 참고문헌 양식 안내: Vancouver(NLM) 양식

Vancouver 양식 소개

국제의학저널편집회의 (International Committee of Medical Journal Editors; ICMJE)에서 지정한 양식으로, 주로 의학분야에서 널리 쓰이는 인용 및 레퍼런스 양식. 

미국 National Library of Medicine (NLM)에서 Vancouver 양식을 구현한 NLM Style 가이드를 제시하고 있음.

대부분의 의학 저널들은 해당 양식을 기본으로 하여 저널마다 조금씩 다른 인용 양식을 사용하므로, 투고하고자 하는 저널의 양식을 반드시 확인하여야 함.

Vancouver 양식

1. 본문 내 인용 기본 원칙

   1) 본문에 등장하는 순서대로 번호 기입. 번호는 괄호(1), 중괄호[1], 위첨자1 또는 혼합형(1),[1]으로 표기

   2) 여러개의 문헌을 동시에 인용하는 경우 아래와 같음

        (예시)

Affect was measures with the Positive Affect and Negative Affect Scale (5,6)

Affect was measures with the Positive Affect and Negative Affect Scale [9-11] 

Affect was measures with the Positive Affect and Negative Affect Scale (5,9,13)

   3) 마침표는 인용 뒤에 찍을 수도 있고 인용 앞에 찍을 수도 있음(저널별로 상이)

1. Vancouver 인용문헌(Works Cited) 기본 원칙

   1) 참고문헌 목록은 본문 인용 순서(숫자순 배열)에 따라 배열

   2) 일반적으로 국내외 문헌 모두 영문으로 작성

2. 저자명 표기 원칙

    1) "저자성_저자이름이니셜" 형태로 작성

       (예시)

Peumans M, Kim SJ

    2) 저자명과 저자명 사이 쉼표(,), 마지막 저자명 뒤에 마침표(.)

    3) 이름에 포함된 마침표 모두 제거

       (예시)

Charles A. St. James   →  St James CA

     * 허용되는 이름 표기

       저자의 풀네임을 모두 표기하기도 함. 이 경우 "저자성, 저자명" 으로 표기하며 저자명과 저자명은 세미콜론(;)으로 구분.

       저자명이 이니셜일 경우 마침표(.) 활용

   저자명. 도서명. [도서형태(일반단행본이 아닌경우)]. 판사항(판본이 여러개인 경우). 출판사주소지: 출판사명; 발행년도. 책 언어(영문 도서 아닌경우)

3) 단행본(도서 챕터)

    저자명. 도서명. [번역본 명]. [도서형태(일반단행본이 아닌경우)]. 판사항(판본이 여러개인 경우). 출판사주소지: 출판사명; 발행년도. 책 언어(영문 도서 아닌경우). 챕터명; 챕터 페이지.

4) 학위논문

    저자명. 논문명. [형태(일반단행본이 아닌경우)]. 발행처 주소지: 학위수여기관; 발행년 월. 언어.(영문 아닌경우) 

     (예시)

Jones DL. The role of physical activity on the need for revision total knee arthroplasty in individuals with osteoarthritis of  the knee [dissertation]. [Pittsburgh (PA)]: University of Pittsburgh; 2001.
